02 Strengths to Preserve
Strong brand taglines
"BE A RESIN HERO" and "Results Speak Volumes" are memorable, differentiated, and B2B-appropriate. Rare for a distributor. Keep them front and center.
Clear service positioning
The site communicates what Poly Evolution does within 5 seconds of landing. Distribution + compounding + Iowa-based = immediately clear. Good foundation to build on.
Industry credibility signals
Partner logos, specific materials mentioned by name (nylon, polypropylene, ABS), and technical language all signal real industry expertise vs. generic distributor copy.
Client Portal differentiator
The existence of a client portal is a genuine differentiator. No competitor prominently advertises this. Currently underplayed; should be a hero element in the value proposition.
03 Findings
HIGHNo blog or content marketing presence
The site has zero published content beyond service pages. For a B2B materials distributor, buyer education content (material selection guides, processing tips, cost comparison frameworks) is the highest-ROI SEO and lead-gen investment available. Competitors who publish consistently will continue to outrank Poly Evolution for every research-phase query.
HIGHThin service page content
Each service page is 2-3 short paragraphs. Buyers evaluating distributors want to see: specific materials handled, minimum order quantities, lead times, processing capabilities, and supplier/brand names. Missing this information forces buyers to call before they're ready, reducing conversion. Competitors with detailed service pages win more search clicks.
HIGHNo About page
Poly Evolution has no About page. In B2B vendor selection, decision-makers look up the team, company history, and mission before approving new suppliers. A missing About page fails vendor qualification checks and forces buyers to search LinkedIn/Google for information that should be on the site.
HIGHContact form is only lead capture mechanism
The site offers one conversion path: fill out a contact form. No quote calculator, no RFQ form, no live chat, no phone number prominently displayed, no email address visible. B2B buyers in a time-sensitive purchasing situation who can't reach someone quickly will move to the next vendor.
MEDMissing meta descriptions on key pages
Service pages are likely relying on WordPress auto-generated meta descriptions pulled from body copy. Custom meta descriptions for each service page improve click-through rate from Google by 5-10% and take 30 minutes to write. This is a quick win.
MEDNo structured data / schema markup
The site appears to have no Organization, LocalBusiness, or Service schema markup. Google uses this to populate knowledge panels, rich results, and answer boxes. Local business schema with the Iowa address and service categories is a 2-hour implementation with measurable search visibility impact.
MED7-item primary navigation
The top navigation has 7 items, which is at the upper limit of what most users will scan before giving up. Three of those items are service variants that could be consolidated. Reducing to 5 items with clear labels improves navigation efficiency and forces cleaner information architecture.
MEDCase studies presented as testimonials only
The site includes client results but presents them as short quote blocks rather than structured case studies. Buyers evaluating materials distributors want to see: industry context, specific problem, materials selected, outcome metrics. Quote blocks don't provide this and don't earn SEO value.
LOWNo Iowa / Midwest local SEO signals
The site doesn't prominently feature the Iowa location or Midwest service territory as a differentiator. "Midwest resin distributor" and "Iowa plastics supplier" are lower-competition search terms with high buyer intent. Adding a service territory section and registering/optimizing a Google Business Profile are quick wins for regional visibility.
04 Priority Action Plan
P1
Add About page with team + story
One new page. Photos, bios, founding story, Iowa roots. Blocks vendor disqualification from buyers who require it. Highest trust ROI per hour of work on the site.
P2
Expand service pages with specific capabilities
Each service page should list: materials handled (by name), typical order ranges, lead times, processing capabilities, and 2-3 case example bullets. Target 600-800 words per page. This alone doubles the SEO surface area of the site.
P3
Convert testimonials to structured case studies
Take 2-3 existing client relationships and build a proper case study format: industry, challenge, material selected and why, result. These pages rank for long-tail queries and give buyers the proof they need to move forward.
P4
Write 4-6 educational blog posts
Material selection guides, cost comparison content, processing tips for common resins. Targets buyers early in the research phase. Even 4 posts begin building topical authority and internal linking opportunities.
P5
Add schema markup and optimize meta descriptions
Organization schema, LocalBusiness schema with Iowa address, Service schema per service page. Custom meta descriptions for all 7 pages. This is technical work with measurable search impact - implement alongside P1 or P2 since it requires a developer touchpoint anyway.
