Sitemap: Old vs. New
Poly Evolution · polyevo.com · Prepared Sept 2026
A structural comparison of the current website architecture against the proposed new information architecture, with URL migration and redirect requirements.
01 Structure Comparison
Current Architecture
7 pages, flat nav
Home
/
Hero with tagline, service overview, value propositions.
Expertise & Services
/expertise/
Single long page combining distribution and compounding into one. Difficult to navigate.
Sales & Distribution
/sales-distribution/
Separate service page - redundant with Expertise. Creates nav confusion.
Compounding
/compounding/
Standalone compounding page. Good depth but isolated from distribution story.
Client Portal
/client-portal/
Link to portal. Underutilized as a differentiator.
News & Updates
/news/
Sparse - few posts, no consistent cadence. Effectively dead section.
Contact
/contact/
Basic contact form. No qualifying questions or routing.
Proposed Architecture
Structured for conversion
Home
/
Hero, proof stats, service intro cards linking to /services/ sub-pages. Lead capture at bottom.
-
Services
/services/
Landing page with cards per service type, linking to sub-pages below.
Resin Distribution
/services/distribution/
Was /sales-distribution/. Dedicated page with supplier logos, product categories.
Custom Compounding
/services/compounding/
Was /compounding/. Expanded with formulation types, capabilities table.
Technical Consulting
/services/consulting/
New page. Captures the expertise positioning already implied on the site.
Case Studies
/case-studies/
New section. Replaces sparse /news/. Structured project outcomes with materials used, results achieved.
Resources
/resources/
New. Blog + guides. Builds SEO and demonstrates expertise. Can absorb any future news posts.
About
/about/
New. Team, history, mission. Currently missing entirely - buyers need this for trust and vendor qualification.
Client Portal
/portal/
Elevated. Prominently positioned as a differentiator with CTA in main nav.
Contact
/contact/
Expanded with qualifying questions: materials of interest, volume, timeline. Routes to right contact.
02 Change Rationale
Change
Consolidate Expertise + Sales-Distribution + Compounding under /services/ with sub-pages
Why
Current nav has three overlapping service pages with redundant content. Buyers scanning the nav cannot tell the difference between "Expertise" and "Sales & Distribution." Grouping under a clear /services/ parent with distinct sub-pages reduces confusion and makes each service easier to find and link to directly.
Change
Replace /news/ with /case-studies/ and /resources/
Why
/news/ has few posts and no consistent cadence - it signals abandonment rather than activity. Case studies serve B2B buyers directly (proof of results, materials used, industries served) and are the highest-ROI content type for closing complex distribution deals. /resources/ absorbs the SEO value of a blog without being labeled a blog that then feels neglected.
Change
Add /about/ as a new top-level page
Why
The site currently has no About page. In B2B resin distribution, vendor selection is a trust decision: buyers qualify the team, not just the product catalog. A missing About page means buyers searching for "who is Poly Evolution" find nothing. This is a direct barrier to purchase for any buyer who requires vendor due diligence.
Change
Elevate Client Portal to main nav CTA
Why
The client portal is a genuine differentiator that no competitor prominently advertises. Currently it sits as a buried nav item. Moving it to a styled nav CTA button signals to prospects that Poly Evolution invests in client relationships beyond the transaction - this is a closing argument, not a utility link.
03 URL Migrations & Redirects
All old URLs must 301 redirect to their new destinations before launch. Missing redirects will break any external links, backlinks, and indexed search results.
| Old URL |
New URL |
Status |
Notes |
| /expertise/ | /services/ | 301 | General expertise content moves to services index or distributes to sub-pages |
| /sales-distribution/ | /services/distribution/ | 301 | Direct page-to-page migration |
| /compounding/ | /services/compounding/ | 301 | Direct page-to-page migration - highest SEO equity page, priority redirect |
| /news/ | /resources/ | 301 | Category-level redirect; individual post URLs should redirect to nearest relevant resource |
| /client-portal/ | /portal/ | 301 | Slug simplification |
